A field guide, not a brochure

Most SaaS companies leave millions on the table.
We’re here to fix that.

RevTune exists because pricing is the highest-leverage decision a SaaS founder makes, and almost nobody does it well.

The problem

Pricing is broken in SaaS.

30–50% of SaaS companies are underpriced. That’s not our claim — it’s ProfitWell’s, after analyzing over $4 billion in subscription revenue across 30,000+ companies.

Most founders set prices once at launch — based on a competitor page, a gut feel, or a Twitter poll — and never touch them again. They obsess over conversion rates, ad copy, onboarding flows. But the price tag itself? Untouched. For years.

Meanwhile, the tools that actually helped founders think about pricing — ProfitWell being the gold standard — got swallowed by acquisitions. The free analytics tier disappeared. Indie founders were left with nothing but spreadsheets and Stripe’s built-in dashboards.

“A 1% increase in price typically drives an 11% increase in profit.”

— McKinsey, “The Power of Pricing”

Our beliefs

Six things we hold to be self-evident.

01

Pricing is a product decision, not a marketing tactic.

Treating it like a copy test — A/B-ing button colors — wastes the highest-leverage lever you have. Real pricing decisions need real data.

02

The founder should own pricing, not a consultant.

$25K pricing audits exist because the data has been locked behind enterprise tools. We’re democratizing that — every founder deserves the same intelligence, at a fraction of the cost.

03

AI is finally good enough to do this.

Pattern recognition across thousands of SaaS pricing flows used to require humans with PhDs. Frontier LLMs change that. We use Claude to read your data and tell you what to do — not generate filler insights.

04

Read-only is the only way.

We will never have permission to charge your customers, modify your prices, or move money. Not because we couldn’t, but because we shouldn’t. Trust is built on the things you choose not to do.

05

Transparency beats lock-in.

Disconnect anytime. Export anything. No retention dark patterns, no enterprise sales calls, no “contact us for pricing.” Our pricing is on the pricing page. That’s the entire negotiation.

06

Indie founders deserve enterprise tools.

$1K MRR or $100K MRR — the math is the same, the leverage is the same, the questions are the same. We build for the founder doing it solo with a laptop and a cup of coffee.

Anti-roadmap

What we’ll never build.

Most SaaS companies tell you what they’re going to build. We’ll tell you what we won’t — because the things you refuse to do define a product as much as the things you ship.

Write access to your billing

We will never ask for permission to create, modify, or charge subscriptions. Your money stays your money.

Sales-led upsells

No “contact us for pricing.” No demo gates. No SDRs in your inbox. Self-serve, top to bottom.

Vague AI fluff

Every recommendation comes with a number, a confidence score, and the data it’s based on. No horoscopes.

Selling your data

We aggregate anonymized benchmarks. We never sell, share, or expose your individual revenue data. Period.

Dark patterns to keep you

Cancel from your settings page, one click, no retention flow. Export everything. Walk away clean.

Lock-in via integrations

Bring your own Stripe. Bring your own Paddle. Bring your own LemonSqueezy. Disconnect any time, any platform.

Founder · Building in public

I’ve shipped SaaS products. I’ve set prices wrong. I’ve watched founders I respect raise prices 2x and lose zero customers. I’ve also watched them undercut themselves into a corner they couldn’t escape.

The pattern is always the same: a brilliant builder making billion-dollar product decisions and one-dollar pricing decisions. Pricing felt unknowable, so it stayed untouched. Meanwhile the data — your data — already had the answer.

RevTune is the tool I wanted. If it works for me, it’ll work for you. If it doesn’t, you’ll be the first to hear about it from me.

Thanks for taking a look.
